Approved West Meadows Colors

The Board of Directors approved eight new paint schemes (color combinations) for homeowners to use for house exterior painting. The new Sherwin-Williams paint schemes are numbered 55-62 and have been added to the paint color book located at the Community Club at 8401 New Tampa Blvd., Tampa, FL 33647.

Homeowners are reminded that paint colors for house exterior painting are limited to those shown in the paint color book (or Sherwin-Williams website) and mixing color schemes is not permitted.

These illustrations are provided only as a color sample. They do not imply any ACC or Board endorsement nor recommendation of any company or its products.

Note: Some fence specifications in your community’s original Architectural Control Guidelines have been updated by the 2018 “Fence and Hedge Guidelines” found below.

Approved West Meadows Fence Colors

The Board of Directors approved a new fence color for use by homeowners. This color fills the dark end of the shade spectrum and provides homeowners more flexibility in complementing certain house paint schemes. In addition to the current fence colors of white (representing the light end of the shade spectrum) and beige (representing the middle of the shade spectrum), the new color is best described as mahogany. Actual color names may vary depending on the fence company but the best illustration of the approved shade/color of mahogany is the “Mahogany (W101)” manufactured and distributed by Eastern Wholesale Fence LLC in their “Illusions Vinyl Fence” line. West Meadows Fence & Hedge Guidelines

The fence and hedge guidelines were updated in 2018. They modify some of the original Architectural Control Guidelines such as setbacks and fence materials. To review the guidelines in their entirety please click the button below.

Be sure to clearly delineated front setback distances. These are the most important measurements when planning to install a fence, particularly when planning for gates on the side(s) of a house. Front setbacks shall be a minimum of 35’ from the front property line or 10’ behind the closest point of the house to the street, whichever is further.

Fence applications omitting front setback distances will be returned to the homeowner for compliance.

West Meadows Tree Service Guide

The State of Florida requires the property owner to obtain “documentation from an arborist certified by the International Society of Arboriculture or a Florida licensed landscape architect that the tree presents a danger to persons or property.” An ACC application is also required for tree removal.

The West Meadow Property Owners Association is not a government entity. Neither the West Meadows Property Owners Association, its Board of Directors, the Architectural Control Committee (ACC), nor Greenacre Properties have the authority to grant exceptions to State law. The arborist or landscape architect report is not waivable.

As always, an approved application from the ACC is required before tree work may commence. The ACC is happy to advise homeowners if they have questions or concerns regarding tree removal.

The University of Florida published this great guide about some of the best practices for hiring a tree service.
